1991—FOUNDATION ESTABLISHED
GHMCEF was established in 1991 with a focus on expanding educational opportunities, encouraging life-long learning and promoting school, family, business and community partnerships.
1992—INAUGURAL GALA
The first gala was held on January 25, 1992. The gala was established as the primary source of funding for the foundation.
2014—ENDOWMENT EXCEEDED OBJECTIVE
Assets exceeded one-million. The endowment was created in 1991 as a tool for sustainable funding to help support community education grants for years to come.
2018—HANDS OF GRATITUDE
First ever school district-wide Hands of Gratitude give back program.
2020—DISTRICT-WIDE SCHOOL SUPPLY GIFT
Provided $54,000 for back to school supplies for every Grandview Heights K–12 student.
2021—30TH ANNIVERSARY
Celebrating 30 years of education grants.
2023—LARSON MIDDLE SCHOOL DISCOVERY SPACE
Gifted $200,000 to enhance the middle school outdoor discovery space.
2025—WORKFORCE INNOVATION CENTER
Donated $10,000 for a consultant to educate our students on opportunities that fit their gifting and skillset.
